

Committed to providing outstanding service, quality and value, Katsouris Fresh Foods, one of the group's manufacturing sites, sought to improve on the capabilities of the traditional inspection methods previously used. They sought an inspection solution that could achieve greater levels of contaminant detection and fewer false rejects, but would also reliably identify stainless steel fragments in products packaged in foil trays and dishes. Such a solution is supplied by SAFELINE x-ray inspection.

SAFELINE T10XP x-ray inspection systems were selected by Katsouris for installation on their production lines, to provide brand protection. The systems offer Katsouris high levels of efficiency in contamination detection, low maintenance and simple operation, maximising uptime.
Optimum Sensitivity
SAFELINE's adaptive technology ensures optimum sensitivity of contamination detection throughout production. Working to a specification to eliminate metal contaminants down to 1.2mm, the system can also detect foreign bodies, such as stone, bone and high-density plastic. This ensures the highest possible quality standards are met, not only for Bakkavör, but also for their clients and consumers.

The T10XP systems are built to IP65 as standard with an option to upgrade to IP69K. Additionally, systems can be manufactured to the 3A sanitary certification, an industry first.
